Iowa sent me information regarding a supplemental and TO SCHEDULE AN INTERVIEW today. Just wondering if this means that my quantitative aspects (DAT, GPA, etc.) was sufficient or not, considering they want to set up an interview...I feel that I will rock an interview, but my DAT scores were on the rocks...also I'm an Iowa resident and that might have something to do with it. What do ya guys think?

Iowa rejected me before they even received my DAT scores. They said it was because my GPA was too low for a non-resident applicant. My GPA is overall 3.5 science 3.6.

If your GPA is at least a 3.5 and your DAT is 18-19, you have a shot. As an Iowa resident, it isn't as competitive as out-of-state applicants. Shadowing and other activities are beneficial.

Here is a quote from what Iowa sent me,
As we are a state school, it is much more competitive applying for non-Iowa residents. Our entering class average GPA for this fall was 3.69 and average science GPA was 3.64. DAT score averages were 19, 20, and 20 on the individual science sections, where we place the most focus. Admitted nonresidents typically have higher academic records than our class averages. Your application has been placed on hold based primarily on grade point average. We continually review new information as it comes in for all candidates. Your application will be reviewed again when DAT scores are received, and if a decision is made to offer an interview, you will be notified.
