Anybody used this for class? if yeah, how does it work with blackboard to do assignments?

I have read many people swear by notability...what are your thoughts?

Importantly, which size would be good to learn anatomy from the apps, draw SC pathways etc?

My school made us buy iPad pros from them and very much so did not like it when I was using it for notes/class. Strongly recommend against it if you have a choice, would prefer PC laptop. If you do get one though, notability is a must.

why did you dislike it? what about the size of the ipad?

I had a regular iPad air to take exams on. So much more streamlined than using my laptop. Never used it to take notes since I just studied off the slides.

MS1 here, but I used it for a class for a week and I liked it. I didn’t end up buying notability bc I heard you can’t sync it with your computer without notability on it. I just used one note and I like it. I will say notability has a better UI and I’m sure has some fancy functions. You should go to an Apple store and try it out!

You should buy the 9.5 or 10.2 but not the 12.5, it’s wayyyy too big. The 10’’ one is the pro and 9’’ is not. I don’t think the processing power matters but some may argue otherwise.

If you are drawing and taking notes off it...nothing beats surface + Onenote...the ipad can work too but Apple's pen tech is considerably worst than microsoft's. If you don't really take notes or draw on it then either is fine.

I have the 12.9” iPad Pro and love it... I use notability and it does awesome... I have it back up to my google drive and I created dividers and folders inside each one - ie: I have a biochemistry divider and I created folders like “biochem - Exam 1 material”, “biochem - Exam 2 material” etc..

Keeps me organized and prepared - I go back over our lectures (which are recorded onto Panopto) and update my notes for anything I may have missed in class..

If you’re buying a laptop - get a MacBook or XPS or something that is super light weight... I’m regretting buying my Dell G5 now...
