I just thought about sharing what I have found and liked. I did a formal dental internship for 3 credits and found this useful. If you have any, please share them.
The apps are very basic but useful and is good to get used to seeing dental x-rays. They could be boring for a dental assistant. I don't have too much time to do extra things, and these are short and quick for reference.
This is what I have so far:
DAT Audio Learn: no visuals. I'm very auditory and my school commute is 1 hr so I just listen to the info. Very basic. $14--
Organic Chemistry Reference Guide: it has common organic compounds, organic reactions and mechanisms. I got it on sale for $1.99
Orasphere: very cute tutorial about root canal and tooth anatomy. Great videos in 3D. Free.
Dental Rx: dental radiology in sections of the mouth--molar, canine, incisor, pre-molar. Free.
NervSounds: my son downloaded this one because it has a mouth open and the sound of a high speed handpiece working...it's silly.
Don't pay too much for them. Some days they can be full price, some days they are free or $2....And also I don't want you all to hate me if you pay and then you don't like them!
