Did anyone use their personal statement from AMCAS? My friend used his and it didn't really focus on "why I would be an asset to the Medical School" and was accepted to the three schools he applied to...

I think I sent a recipe for corn dogs instead of my essay by accident and I still got in everywhere. I have a hunch the essays are just comic relief for them to read out loud after down at a pub somewhere.

Seriously though, my essay was really bad. Maybe the worst thing I've ever written. I don't know what I was thinking but it didn't seem to hurt my chances.
