Does anyone have an idea of how competitive it would be for non-EU grads from Irish universities to get an intern spot this coming July?
If I remember correctly, the HSE said in their talk to the medical schools recently that there would be about 540 spots for July 2012.. that's roughly the same as last year, although the GEP programmes will be churning out more students year after year- that would technically make it more competitive this year compared to the 2011 intake, right? Unless more people leave for North America seeing as to how things are coming along in this country.😕
Fellow final meds, are most of your colleagues planning on staying on or leaving for the US/Canada/home country?
