is 3.0 eng course enough?

i know that a lot of DO schools require 6.0 courses but i only have 3.0. i was wondering if exceptions can be made? i also have other writing courses (where essays compromise 60% of ur grade) not sure if that could be used as a replacement?

Many are happy to count other writing intensive courses or AP/IB credit. Email admissions at your schools.
