I'm not sure how it is at Oregon State, but the average grade in a typical class at UCLA is about a C+ (2.7) - think: normal/bell curve. I don't know too many science majors there getting 3.8 or above because their average grade is almost an entire point lower than that. I do know 2 guys and 1 girl who got 4.0 from there. One of the guy is a Chem E major and has no interests in health care whatsoever, but he took the MCAT for fun and got a 38. I'm not sure how much pharmacy schools weigh gpa from one school to another, but if you're getting a 3.95 from Oregon State, then you should be fine.

its about the same at osu, most students get a C+ and gpas are more around 3.5

With a GPA that high, why on Earth would you apply to pharmacy schools? Go to medical or dental school. Or do something else... California is saturated from what I hear, as is Texas and even Oregon, among the rest of the USA. Back out while you can. Best wishes.

...Unless you already have a concrete plan such as working for a pharmacist that has his/her own independent pharmacy with a solidified base. Or if you are absolutely positive that you have a certainty that you will find work afterward. It's an expensive degree... And there are around 5 or 6 more pharmacy schools opening in California alone within the next few years... I just did some quick research. I don't mean to insult, but I'm only trying to give you a heads-up. Good luck.
