Is a thesis/dissertation considered a publication?

So I recently found out that I am listed as a co-author on a member of my lab's MA thesis -- does this count as a publication and can I list it in my app? It is listed on ProQuest...does that count for anything?

No it’s not a publication but you could include the acknowledgement in the research description for that work
