Is a week enough time for an AMG to study for CS?

Hey guys,

I got really freaked out by a bud from another med school who took CS recently and told me it was "super hard." I have 7 days left before my exam and can study for the majority of those days... Will that be enough? I had planned to study more leisurely over 2 weeks but it just didn't happen due to my rotation schedule and now I'm feeling really nervous.

I'm an AMG, so rumor has it I should be fine. But I'm nervous despite this, perhaps because this is my last step 2 to take! My med school does practice cases and I've always done ok on those. They aren't graded but my performance has always been solid (may forget a few things here and there but nothing crazy like missing an MI). I was just going to read through FA for CS and all the cases and take it. But if I'm in danger of failing because the test is harder than I've heard, I wonder if I should push it back!

Any advice?

Apparently the number of failures have increased. It is either a blip or they are upset with the petition to end the exam - you decide.

I "studied" for an evening and passed with plenty of room to spare as a fairly mediocre AMG. But I also took the exam ~4 years ago and failure rates have been pumped up since then (on purpose, the USMLE announced it on their blog a year or two ago).
