I disposed of all of my white coats because they got soiled/were poorly fitting. Do I need to have one for CS or can I go in with just a steth? Do they mark you on wearing a white coat? It's a silly question but the exam is random and strange so I don't know what to expect here.

Please visit the usmle step 2 CS website. Short answer: Yes, you need a coat.

Long answer: you need to become more familiar with this test. One of easiest ways to fail it is to come in unprepared by not understanding the format and what is required of you.

The test is neither strange nor random. As an IMG it prepared me extremely well for my USCE. If you don't even know the most basic stuff (what to bring to the test) do yourself a huge favor and take this test more seriously. Otherwise you will end up regreting this. People are failing because they think it's about speaking english and being nice. It's not!

I am saying this not to make you feel bad. Rather to save your from a stupid mistake.

Then it is arbitrary and strange. But thank you for the advice.
