You can make a fake application for the 08 cycle and print out everything so you'll know what to expect next year.

Schools wont see your name or information unless you hit the submit button. You only pay when you submit. You don't have to pay to start the application.

I filled one out last year but never completed it. It's good practice. Be ready for a crapload of email notifications regarding approaching deadlines though (all from AADSAS not the schools). The schools will never know anything about your unfinished app.
