Is AAMC self assessment similar to AAMC 3?

Just curious, taking a practice AAMC 3 test tomorrow. Also where did you guys go to take your AAMC practice full lengths? The library?

Id probably say the self-assessments are harder relative to AAMC 3 - though I hated the verbal on this one.

It doesn't really matter where you go--as long as you try to simulate test conditions as best as possible. I took one test in the library; and unfortunately, even with earplugs, there were people always up and about walking around the circulation desk, and that was a bit bothersome. So if you go to the library, try to find an enclosed room.

Haven't taken the SA's yet, so don't know about that. Best of luck tomorrow.

its detailed oriented, most questions require you to refer back to the passages on AAMC 3 and 4... I haven't done any other AAMCs but heard they tend to be more thesis based than detailed

I thought the SAs were harder compared to AAMC 3 and 4 (didn't do as well?). I only took gchem and bio SA so far though. Physics was pretty simple for both AAMCs.

That being said, I have much more trouble focusing for the SAs because it's just like 3 hours of straight passages on one subject, so maybe thats why I find SAs to be more difficult.

I printed them out and did all the sciences in about 1.5-2 hours for orgo and bio. Spent 2 hours on gen chem and 3 hours on physics (was having a bad night for physics SA, I just lost my TV remote somehow during dinner and was infinitely pissed at myself )
