I was planning on using the BC Academy + Feralis + Destroyer and BC questions only for the Bio section. Are these resources enough to shoot for a 25+ on the Bio Section or would I need many other resources (Romanos Dynamite, AP Cliffs, Qvault etc.)?

No it's not enough, it's missing a lot of important information.

I would recommend switching to Feralis notes combined with DATDestroyer questions. That will cover everything you need to know.

So in your opinion Cliffs is not needed right? I looked through Cliffs 3rd edition pdf and I just feel like the material will be very redundant.

I'm thinking BC Academy + Feralis + Destroyer + Bootcamp Bio tests should be enough right? I want to score high and I assume I can only afford to miss 1 maybe 2 questions in the bio section, so I definitely need resources that cover literally everything that can be tested on.

You might as well throw in your undergrad Biology textbook + Cliff's 3rd edition textbook in there while you're at it.

In all seriousness, your time is precious. I would stick to 1 or 2 resources such as Bio Dynamite (500pg) or Feralis Notes since both have a proven trend of getting people a high score. The Bioqvault or BC tests are a waste of time. You honestly won't get those questions on your DAT, you're better off purchasing the ADA's practice tests from my experience.

Qvault and BC questions are not similar to what you'll get on the test, however qvault is closer. They're good resources to reinforce the material though and can help you out after you have a solid foundation of the information.

All I used to study for bio was Feralis' notes and Cliffs and I had both sources memorized. Then I used qvault and BC to practice. I missed one question and only because the wording threw me off. I'd also recommend being careful about using too many sources

I am literally in the same boat -- bootcamp, Feralis, Dynamite - theres too much and my mind is going crazy. I just learned about Dynamite Notes a few days ago and they seem pretty organized. SO .. Do you guys suggest doing dynamite and feralis THEN referring to bootcamps as extra practice?

I would recommend choosing 1 of the three notes from Bootcamp, Dynamite, and Feralis. I extensively went over the Bootcamp Bio Academy Notes (the 500-page one) and took BC bio tests 1-4, as well as biology Destroyer questions 1-300 and was able to score a 25 in bio.

thanks for the advice! also, amazing score great job! So what I started with was bootcamp -- I know they provide a set of condensed, "clean" notes; so how do you suggest going about it? should I review/highlight/ write in margins as I refer to bio academy for extra details I miss out on? I actually noticed, Dynamite actually touches on most of the stuff bootcamp does as I was skimming, but people are saying that dynamite review is more sufficient.

The only reason im asking "how to go about it" is because I honestly don't want to waste my time doing too much for bootcamp or too little so if I feel the others would also aid me, I can still have time to go about them.

Also, the bootcamp bio academy notes are only ~ 120 pgs, are you sure it was 500?

This is the 500 page version. I tried highlighting, making flashcards, and writing handwritten notes, but the information didn't really stick with me. What I found most effective was typing out my own notes based on the Bootcamp notes. I would never directly copy/paste sentences into my notes, but I rather typed out what the Bootcamp notes said in my own words so it would be much easier to recollect the information. I would also suggest going over the previous chapter's notes a day after typing them, before you begin the next chapter. I would also do the questions in Bootcamp that corresponded to the chapter I most recently reviewed, I believe there is a way to sort the Bio questions by topic. I hope this helps and good luck!

I highly recommend sticking to the Dynamite Bio notes. As you said, they touch upon everything (and I think more, including those pathologies) than BC does. I stuck to the Dynamite Bio notes plus referencing Cambell's when I needed a little more information on a topic and ended up with a 25 BIO. The Dynamite notes were a breeze to read and kind of witty at points, which fit my learning style. Highly, highly recommend sticking to them plus referencing a published textbook (namely, Cambell). Best of luck!

I actually did the same thing, and then after chapter 4 I realized it isn't cutting it. The information was not etching into my mind. And thank you, that is whaat I was referring to , the bio academy, I just didnt realize it was actually 500 pages haha. I think I will continue writing my own notes, thanks so much for your input ! good luck to you as well 😊

You are correct -- Considering I already bought BC, I will use it as a supplement with Dynamite's. thanks so much for your input as well, much appreciated! 😊

I actually preferred Bootcamp's Bio Notes over many other notes for its conciseness.

I used Bootcamp Bio Notes along with my own notes that I've generated from the Bootcamp Biology Academy, Bootcamp Bio Questions, and Destroyer Questions. For example, I made my own diagrams for hormones, digestive systems, gram positive/negative bacteria, etc.

What I've realized is that nowadays there are TOO many resources available online/offline, so you need to pick and choose quickly and commit to them.

Stick to what you prefer, make your own notes, and you will succeed.

Excellent reply his989, make your own notes and pick a few resources. You don't need to do everything more is not always better, it can get you more confused., If you want to do it the best way you can memorize the Campbell Bio text book but no one is going to do that. We feel we have it pretty well laid out, you just have to come up with a plan that works for YOU! Good luck in your studies.

Yes, as said above, what ever you decide commit to those resources. I used boot camp bio exclusively. only the 120pg resource, their exams and used their app to constantly sort my weak areas from strengths. I received a 26 on the bio section. What ever resources you use trust them! About half way through my preparation I subscribed to another prep course to supplement boot camp, that was terrifying! I feel lucky that I decided to stick with a single resource and know it very well instead of knowing multiple resources not as thoroughly.

If you are committed to yourself and your resources you'll do great!
