Hi all,

I was looking over Feralis' notes on taxonomy and got stuck on this.

For the exam, should I know Crustacea as subphylum, class, or both??

Thanks in advance!

I would know both.

Usually Crustaceans are treated a subphylum. However, some classify it as Phylum Arthropods, class Crustacea.

Class is further divided into orders.

Crabs, Crayfish and Shrimp are classified as Decapoda order.

Hope this helps.
