No!
DMU is a good school.
I graduated from DMU. I received a good education. I did well in post-graduate training. I passed the NBOME ( now COMLEX?). I obtained allopathic specialty and subspecialty board certification over 25 years ago. I did well in practice. I have worked with recent graduates from DMU. They are all good physicians.
All schools have problems. DMU had problems when I attended. Maybe I was one of them

My fellow students adapted and all did well.
DMU has its share of famous and highly successful alumni on both the national and international scene.
On a lighter note, I think the brother of the creator of "Alien Apocalypse" went to DMU. Maybe not, but that would explain the fact that the hero of the movie is a D.O.
The current Dean of DMU is one of the best surgeon's in the country. DMU alumni are spread out all over Iowa, and they rule Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. In fact DMU alumni are everywhere.
Given the fact that most of the DMU students during my time were either Iowa residents, Michigan State alumni, Michigan alumni, or Hofstra alumni, the quality of the men and women in the class were quite high. Oh, I forgot about those tough guys from Jersey and Manhatten who were also pretty good.
I don't liver near DMU and no longer have direct contact with the school, but I am confident that the school is much better today than during my tenure as a student.
DMU could be your portal to the world of medicine. Don't lose the opportunity.
