Just what the title says... Are there any certain pedo programs that favor applicants with a M.P.H.?
Is having a master's degree in public health beneficial when applying to pedo?

A good background in public health is very beneficial to pediatric dentistry. Studying a large, underserved, vulnerable population with a focus on efficient prevention is an underlying component of all treatment in pedo.
I would look at programs with strong public health centers like UNC, UW, UCLA, Michigan and Columbia (UCLA, UW and Columbia all used to have the Maternal and Child Health grant from the Department of Health and Human Services up until last year, and UNC had it in the past.. but that's undergoing some changes right now).
