Maybe I shouldn't have titled it like that.

But, my question is............. Does any school of Pharmacy actually look at your high school records? I mean, I dropped out a few years ago (like an idiot) and got my GED. Then I continued towards college with my GED, I am doing my pre-reqs right now.

I was thinking about taking 1 less class this fall so i can go to an adult school and take that high school exit exam and finish my last 7 or 8 high school credicts to get my diploma.

Would that be stupid to cut back the college to get the diploma? I'm sure Pharmacy school only looks at your college records. Its just kinda embarrassing to have a GED and not a diploma.

Should I just say "The hell with it, GED is equivalent to a diploma anyway"?

I think just do very well in your college work, and you should be fine. I highly doubt Pharmacy schools look at your high school work. I was never asked for any of my high school course work when I applied to Pharmacy school. You can't really compare high school work to college work. I know of people who made A's in high school, but once they went to college, they made C's. I think what's most important is your college work, and that's what Pharmacy schools look at.

thanks

Yeah, I agree.

If I didn't have anything at all, than I'd go back and get this diploma. But I got something, a GED. I guess that will do.

But one more question. Do universities look at your high school work, is it better to have a diploma over a GED if you are lookin to gain a Bachelors degree????

Are you enrollled in college right now? If yes, is it a university or community college? I think most people with GED's go to community colleges first, then they transfer to a university. I know that if you have a certain amount of college hours completed, universities only look at your college work, not high school. I think if you have 24 or more hours of completed college work, then they only look at your college work, if you have less than 24 hours completed, they will require your high school information and ACT scores.
I think once you're enrolled in the university, you shouldn't have a problem getting a bachelors with a GED. You would probably have to start off at a community college first, then transfer to a university, then after that, you're set.

now its all clear

Yes, I am at a community college. I plan on finishing the Prerequisites for Pharmacy school, and if I don't get in then I'll transfer to a university.

thanks again

i dont think pharmacy schools will look that far into your academic records.....i think they only look at your college academic records........
