My prehealth advisor told me that UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES am I to use interfolio for my LOR's. Is my pre-health advisor trying to scare me?

I wanted to use interfolio because I wanted to be able to save my letters just in case I need to reapply to dental schools.

Is interfolio illegitimate? Will dental schools look down on me for using interfolio?

:scared:

What's wrong with advisors nowadays that the least thing they do is advise? Interfolio is perfectly fine, during my interviews I saw that the interviewers had the letters that were transferred by Interfolio, it's perfectly fine.

Yes, it is legitimate, plenty of people on here have used it and have multiple interviews.

Interfolio comes highly recommended by my school's prehealth advising committee. I used it personally and was very happy with the services it provided. Unless your adviser provided a concrete, rational reason to avoid it, I would not worry too much about what he/she had to say.

👍 I used their services too and did not have any problems.

I used it, letters go directly to AADSAS and AADSAS then sends them to schools along with everything else.

I applied all over the place and used interfolio. None of the schools suggested there was a problem, and none of the places I interviewed brought it to my attention. I'd say it's fine.

Be wary of of undergrad advisers. They seem to have very generalized, and often inaccurate information. They are, in my experience, not a useful source of information regarding anything. Talk to students that are doing the same thing as you - perhaps your school has a pre-dental club.
