is internship same as clinical placement

Hi guys I am trying to make my CV to apply to a DPT program. I studied in a UK university and finished with a BSc (Hons) in physical therapy. I would like to know whether internship is the same as clinical placement? In my university we spent the last two of our four years in the clinical placement practicing under the guidance of physical therapists. So I would like to know whether I should mention my clinical placement as an internship on my CV?
