Is it a bad idea to submit secondaries before your final LOR is submitted?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Basically the title. I have been promised the letter will be uploaded by labor day. Also I swear this is my last LOR related thread lol.

Why do you think it would it be bad?

I'm struggling to envision a scenario where it wouldn't be beneficial for you to get your secondaries in, even while you await LOR(s). Can you give me some more context for your question?

I was worried that there may be a chance that my application would be processed by admissions before this last LOR was submitted and it being missing at the time would hurt my chances of getting an II. This last letter is my only LOR from a non-science professor and is mandatory for many of the schools I've applied to. Am I just overthinking this/being neurotic?

Your file won't be complete until all required LORs are in, so it won't matter for the schools where the non-science letter is mandatory. Go ahead and submit your secondary ahead of time; your complete date will be determined by when your last mandatory LOR arrives. No sense on waiting to submit the secondary (though you have time to keep editing while you await the arrival of the LOR, I suppose).

Now if the letter is just "strongly recommended" but not mandatory, then yeah, your application could be marked complete and reviewed prior to the last LOR coming in if you met the minimum letter requirements through other LORs.

Ok, this gave me some peace of mind. Thanks for your help!
