Is it a good idea to pick another state school over your state school?

So let's say you get accepted at your state school (much cheaper, obviously) and another state school (which you absolutely love) that will make you pay out of state tuition for all 4 years...is all the extra money worth it?

If I thought I would be happier there (taking into consideration I would be broke)- I would leave the state. Life is too short to be miserable.

I agree. You'll be poor and happy instead of poor and miserable. Go for it! Four years is a long time. If you can go to a school you love, do it. 😀

Happiness is important. But so is being able to pick a specialty to do for the rest of your life without a financial burden.
