Hi everyone! i was wondering if it is a good idea to room with someone from your cohort? Is anyone currently doing that?

I'm kinda worried that since I will already be spending so much time with this person (pretty much every class together) that it might get annoying being around the same person 24/7

Thanks!

There was a good thread on this, though I can't recall the name.

The short answer is, "NO!". You will be spending 50-60+ hours a week with people in your cohort, and seeing them at home will get old....quickly. Living with a graduate student in another department can be good because they understand the lifestyle, but they are not involved in the day to day happenings.
