Is it NORMAL for this to take so long

granted...it is a friday afternoon.

Just looking for some input. How long after AMCAS verification did it take people to receive the majority of their secondaries? 24 hours? 72 hours? Medical schools don't generally send secondaries out on friday afternoons/weekends (they are human), right??

I received four invitations to apply to the secondary instantly upon submitting my primary. I received about eight more within a few days of it having been processed. Only a few more remain.

really depends on the school...assuming you are talking about schools that do not screen. Some automatically send out secondaries (beware of those...LOL...they want your $$$$...j/k) and others take their sweet time.

dont worry about it...just do them using the prompts found on this website and then send them when they or the access code needed to access it arrives in your inbox.

Since many of these schools now have time sensitive secondaries, it is imperative you are ready for a quick turnaround.

Shemarty, from my recent cycle, was actually really successful at this...and that along with her stellar stats was of great benefit to her during the process.

I got one unscreened secondary the same day. The rest have been coming sporadically (see MDapps for specific dates). The first screened secondary came the following day. The secondaries in general arrive at random times. I got an email from UC Davis at like 2:00 am saying my app was received and one a few minutes later saying I got a secondary.

It's a strange process. 🙂
