Hi,
I was wondering if its okay to call the admissions office and inquire them about my application status? I've emailed them asking if they received my application and if they needed any further documents but they haven't responded. I just wanted to know if its okay to call and ask about my application status?

For sure. They look at it as your responsibility to make sure they have received all of your materials, so you need to confirm this with them. Most of the time they are happy to speak to an applicant. Just be polite and find out what you need to. Good Luck!

I think inquiring demonstrates that you're actively involved and caring of the status of your application. That can only be a good thing.

i guess there's no harm in following up on your app...

...but some pharm schools advise not to do that

like on the ucsf website. These schools get thousands of apps, and if everyone is calling all the time asking about the status of their apps, it might get a little hectic

You should always inquire no matter what. It shows that you are actively interested in the school and that never hurts your chances. Best of luck. - Mel

Inquiring shows your interest in their program, just don't overdo it. There's a line between satisfying curiosity and being a royal pain in the app pool.
