Is it possible to change to another AEGD program after match?

Hi, I have recently matched to one of the Lutheran AEGD programs but I am thinking to apply to another AEGD program within Lutheran medical center due to location and the fact that it's still available. Is it possible to do so after I have already been matched? What is the process?
How easy is it to change? Anyone has experience of rejecting the matched program and apply another one within the match system? Any input is appreciated 🙂

Unfortunately you sign a pledge to the match. You must honor it. Breaking it would be unethical. And if you signed any contracts – illegal.

Breaking the match will lead to punishments to you and the program that accepts you. Some punishments have been to ban from the match. This could jeopardize future applications by you in match and on match programs and especially to specialty programs. It could cause a letter to be written of unethical conduct to your school, to all schools, and even state boards. It could lead to the program taking you being banned from the match and jeopardizing them in the future.

My program is not in the match. We make all of our residents withdraw from the match to avoid ethical problem.

As a member (former officer) in Amer Assoc of Hospital Dentistry (part of Spec Care Dentistry, I was on the match review committee to review such problem. I can not give details but one person was dropped from a specialty program he jumped to.

You are a professional, some get away with switching and poor behavior, some don’t.
