Has anyone ever heard of people transferring med schools? If so, is it easier to go, say from one SUNY school to another than from Buffalo to NYU? Would it be dependent on grades? Just curious...

Check out the schools' policies; some schools welcome transfer applicants while others don't accept any. What are the schools you're considering?

Usually IF a school accepts transfers, it is a very very small number, based on whether or not the class size has decreased over the first year or two. Also, a lot of schools only consider transfers if they NEED to transfer, for family reasons or something like that. It's not like undergrad, where you can just transfer because you don't like it there.
