not recreationally, but to study occasionally (i'm talking like two to 4 times a month, before tests etc)... is this in itself going to cause me harm

keep it mind that i'm talking about ONLY taking it 4 times a month, with the implication that it will not be used more than that under any circumstances.

It is considered to be below the standard of care for a doctor to give someone medical advice unless that person is our patient. To be a patient, there has to be more than a simple post or email.

However, generally speaking, every medication has risks. A better question is, does the benefits of the medication justify the risks? You're going to have to ask the doctor that prescribes the medication.
