i thought that i wanted to do a prelim medicine program only initially but now the "cush" of a transitional year is looking more and more appealing. is it too late to apply to these programs? will these programs even look at my application seriously? thanks.

Only one way to find out...apply and see what happens.

for the most part I think its late. I decided to send out some extra apps for prelim this week and most came back as rejections rather quickly.

You would have to go to every programs webpage and search for there application deadline.

I know in IM programs alot of programs have deadlines in Nov and Dec, while others have deadlines in January etc.

Do a search. its the best way to answer your doubt.

You can also go to FREIDA and look at the "Latest date for applications" for each program you're interested in.

yeah, but you also run the high risk right now that many programs already have a TON of applications and all the interview spots are full.

It doesn't hurt to atleast try. (Esp if you have the money)

I thought the same until i started seen some dates, not all, in FREIDA that didnt go hand in hand with the one in the programs webpage.
