is it too late to apply to optometry school?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Its past the deadline for the 09 cycle. You would be applying for the c/o of 14 when/if you do apply.

The University of Incarnate Word is still accepting applications. It's probably better to wait for the next cycle though so you can apply to all the other schools with a better chance.

Yeah it is kind of late to apply!!! I would wait till the next round!!!

Alot of the Optometry schools are well-established....if anything avoid the newbies that are coming out such as Midwestern (Arizona) and Western (Cali)

From my interview experiences I thought ICO and Nova were the best especially in regards to technology...of course I didn't go to all the schools I was granted an interview at...but from the four that I did go to, I liked these two the best in regards to their curriculum, help with national boards, and technology... SCCO was pretty good but I felt they focused primarily on research...and UAB is one of the oldest Optometry schools and has a small class size and a 100% passing rate...so that's a very attractive school too!
