Is it too late to apply to one more school? I applied to 9 schools, have 4 interviews, but think maybe I should apply to Columbia? Is it too late? I only have average scores. I think applying in Oct. might be too late. Any thoughts?

It might be too late, especially at a good school like Columbia. I'm not very familiar with their interview process though so maybe others can say whether or not they still have a lot of interviews to offer

While it is very late, IMO the only prudent thing to do would be to apply. You have nothing to lose (but some $$$) and everything to gain! Go for it!

I totally agree with the previous post. Apply. I know that it is more difficult now than when I applied ( i graduate this year), but I ended up applying to dental school really late (I think it was about the middle of jan). I ended up applying to three schools because I missed so many deadlines, columbia was one. I interviewed at Columbia after they had already filled the class and was placed on the waitlist and a month later got in. It is always worth a try.

I agree - definitely apply! I applied to Columbia a little later this last year, and I also got in off the waitlist in April.

Well IMO, you need to consider as to why you want to apply to Columbia now?

Personally, if I have 4 interviews lined up already, I wouldn't bother applying cuz it'll just be a waste of money. However, if you are serious about getting in to Columbia, then yeah, try it out... as long as you have the extra cash to spare.

But you have to be realistic too. How "average" are your scores? On predents, the average TS score for Columbia was 22... so I would think twice applying and spending money if my TS score is lower than a 20.
