Is it true that the "premed track" at Hunter College is really difficult?

I hear so many people around me say that and I heard there's a saying, "if you can make it at Hunter, you can make it in medical school." is it seriously that competitive? Does anyone here know anyone that's gone onto medical school after Hunter college for undergrad? I was trying to look for stats on their site and online in general and didn't really find anything. Which makes me think its possibly so hard in that school, no one has ever gone to medical school after that. Lol, I know that sounds a little absurd, but it makes me wonder. Is there anyone here that goes to hunter college that can give me some insight on this please?

If the courses are graded on a curve, difficulty might be determined by the competitiveness of the students attending the school. I don't think any CUNY is nationally ranked, so the quality of the average student will probably be well below top public schools like Berkeley, Michigan, UCLA, or UVA. Plenty of those kids go on to medical school, and I highly doubt Hunter is more difficult than any of them. You'll be fine.

I heard some of the courses aren't curved like bio, and that's apparently the hardest there even though the teacher is good. It also probably has to do with the ridicuolous amount of premed students at Hunter then.

I wouldn't let people talk you out of it. Try it for yourself.

I think mdapplicants has a search by undergrad institution
