is it true?

I had someone tell me my chances of getting an interview were good before I even had my application in.

Is it true that you can call up a pharmacy school and see what your chances are of getting an interview and/or acceptance?

Not sure where you are, but the state schools in CA wouldn't do that.... I've never done it, and never considered asking (they will remember your name) but I guess it might be an approach to take. A more research oriented approach is to look at the statistics of the school and its applicant pool and the # of people they admitted, and see where you lie within the given stats. However, stats are just numbers and there's no saying that just b/c you have a 3.9 gpa you are in, just as true that you can never say that if you finished a JC that you are at a 'disadvantage'. I don't believe that to be all that cut and dry.

That said, I knew of someone at UOP who, at his interview, somehow got into a discussion with the people in the administration and was granted admission on the day (or VERY soo after) her interview. Interesting.
