I am just about to finish my second year at a JC and transfering to a 4-year university in the fall. I was planning on transferring without finishing the GE requirements, but now I realized I am only 2-3 GE classes away from getting an A.A. or A.S (or both). Should I take these GE classes over the summer before transferring, or should I finish them at the 4-year university? Any opinions appreciated!

i don't think anyone cares about an AA degree

Dental schools don't really care if you have an AA, but if you transfer without completing your GE classes you might have to take extra classes at the University. I transferred from a JC to a university, but I didn't finish my GE classes. I had to take three extra classes to replace the one class i could have taken at the JC. You should really talk to a counselor from the university to which you are transferring to.
