Hi,
I got my MCAT back today and ended up doing better than expected. Before getting my score I sent primaries to my state schools and a few others that I knew I would be applying to no matter what. My question is: is it worth it to send out more apps now or am I too late to have a real shot? There is a quick summary of my application below. Thanks in advance.

State: Michigan cGPA 3.27 sGPA 3.2 MCAT: 521
Rest of my app: 2000+ hours clinical experience, pretty long non-medical employment history, 2 years in my uni’s club boxing team. Weak volunteering though (80 hours non medical). 1500 hours research
I realize my GPA and volunteering are pretty glaring weaknesses but can my MCAT and other parts of my app overcome that? If so, any suggestions on schools to apply to?

Schools already applied:
MSU Oakland Wayne State Western Michigan Central Michigan Rosalind Franklin Penn State Drexel, Tulane
Did you apply to any DO schools? Are you URM?

From AMCAS, Freshman year GPA 3.01, Sophomore 3.03, Junior 3.40, Senior 3.55, 8 credits after graduation 4.0.

If you mean what my cGPA is after each year then 3.01, 3.07, 3.15, 3.24 per my transcript. Some minor difference in AMCAS calculation to get to cGPA to 3.27. If I'm still misunderstanding your question then I apologize
I don't think that you'll have much luck with MD unless you take an SMP. But try all MI schools. Chances best with DO.
