Is July Late?

I want to apply end of july since I am taking summer classes. Is that too late?
GPA: 3.3
sGPA: 3.18
(trying to bring it up.)
DAT- planning on taking it in July

I'm interested in hearing other's feedback on this too. I'm finishing spring semester classes mid-June and then studying 6 solid weeks, taking the DAT on 7/28. I intend to submit the rest of my application in June so everything else is finished. I did hear feedback from others that as long as we finish everything by end of Aug, we should have a good shot at getting pre-Dec interviews. But anyone with any hard stats on their submission date and then when they received interview invites would be a relief.

By around mid-july is usually fine. With lower stats, it's best to submit as soon as possible though

In your situation, I would have everything finished and ready, then watching your grades posted like a hawk, submit it that day.

You COULD submit them early and then update your transcript since I know people have to do that at the end of the fall semester courses too, but you don't know if a review committee will be seeing your first submission or the updated one, so don't chance that.

depends on the school really. some schools will save spots bc they know some people turn their application in later. some schools won't. some schools like Indiana interview till November and then they're done. some schools will have given all of their spots out on Dec 1st..while others will only have say 1/2 or 1/3. personally, i had everything in and was officially "complete/underview" like end of august. got 8 interview offers. went to 5. got multiple acceptances on dec 1st, and post dec too.

He already stated his was submitted end of Aug, a month after our projected submission dates.

When you submit your application, your application will become verified. It won't change to completed/under review until you have everything handed in for that school and they verify it, including additional fees and any supplemental application they gave after submission through aadsas. If you are missing some doccuments, it will say application received/waiting on further documents (or something similar).

complete/underview status will depend from school to school. some schools will separate them, some won't. some schools will go straight to under review..or change your status from complete to under review. some will leave you on complete and never change it until invite interview. Really, what I meant by "complete/ under review" is just when i turned everything in and when the schools officially acknowledged that. also, my advice...call each school after you have everything in. some schools will check and some won't *cough cough* UPENN.

I would go by the emails from each school since they email and give you updates. So each school will send you an email when you have EVERYTHING in and usually the email will say something like "you're now complete/ you're now under review/ you have everything in and we don't need anything as of now, unless stated in the future." that's when you know you're have done everything you can and the waiting game begins! it's painful.

but to the question of the post, i don't think end of july is late. however, if you have lower stats...I would say to try to turn everything in sooner just to be on the safe side 🙂 also, keep in mind that once you take your DAT, it takes about 3-4 wks for your score to be go from "unofficial" to "official" for the schools. and schools want official scores.

Based on my experience, your coursework will not be verified until you submit.
You can submit before you do your DAT

keep in mind it'll take a bit for your DAT scores to be in.
You're not late but I wouldn't apply later. Get everything in as soon as possible

Thank you guys for the info. So if I want to wait till my DAT gets verified and then submit, my app will be completed late July right ? ( 3-4 weeks for DAT verification and then 3-4 weeks for GPA verification)?
