I hope not because I don't want to overload my schedule for my last semester before applying. Is it possible to take it if it is required after I've submitted my application?

never heard of it being required for any, and many undergrad schools don't offer it - it's easy to look up in MSAR for any med school you're interested in, though

I know of no school that requires microbiology. It's possible a few may recommend it, as some recommend upper division science courses in general, like microbio, genetics, embryology, etc.

It can't hurt to have exposure to it, even if you are going to get it much much more in-depth in medical school.

No school requires it, I don't think. But many schools recommend it. And it can replace some prereqs so it's good to have it. Not at the expense of overloading yourself though.

No. And no real reason to take it ahead of time -- it's not one of the harder courses. You will just read through the most current edition of Clinical Micro Made Ridiculously Simple when the time comes, and will do fine.

Great! Thanks for replying! Have a great Thanks Giving!
