Is mitral stenosis diastolic dysfunction?

Kaplan physio teaches diastolic dysfunction as a decrease in ventricular compliance during the filling phase of the cardiac cycle.

However I was just wondering if, since mitral stenosis decreases ventricular filling, that counts as diastolic dysfunction as well. (In terms of USMLE preparation)

Diastolic dysfunction is the decrease in ventricular compliance that causes a need for higher LVEDP to fill the LV.

Mitral stenosis is not diastolic dysunction. First it doesn't cause ventricular stiffness (which would cause decrease in ventricular compliance). Also it does not increase LVEDP (but does cause higher LAP).
