My mailing date is scheduled for 8/6. That seems really late to me. Is my application considered pretty late at this point? It seems like everyone already had their app mailed and received notification from schools in the middle of July. Is anyone else out their still waiting for their app to be mailed??

It seems so. I called couple schools and they told me they already have a thousand applications. (These schools received ~3000 applications/cycle) If you have good stats, no need to worry though. 👍

Man I totally lagged on turning in my app b/c I was taking my DAT and couldnt joggle both and after I took my DAT i was so burnt out I partied for a whole week. Bad idea

haha, pretty funny immalozer (the party thing), dont worry, i know the real deal on you. you will be fine, early aug. with a complete app is not late. its just like i said, its SOOOOOOOOOOO competitive. I think you have a good chance. Have you applied to any private schools?

I don't even know if I am competitive or not. This site freaks me out because everyone has perfect stats lol.

triangle, this is sdn where people are ocd. relax. not everyone has a 22 aa and 3.8 or even near that. you are early and should get interviews. breath and sit back.

what about if you already had your app into schools in the 2nd batch, but they updated your app with DAT or LOR and it's getting mailed out now? will it be considered as a part of the 8/6 batch or the 2nd batch? :\

either way i don't think a complete app in early august is late. it's not early, but i don't think it's tooo tooo late 🙂

I don't think you should worry about it too much. My apps were sent out 7/23 and then I added more schools after my DAT and my 2nd batch of apps are going to be sent out 8/6.

The worst thing that can happen -- if your stats are good enough -- would be that you would get late interviews.

Your app is not late... E-submit as soon as possible within a couple of days and your set 😎

I did the SAME exact thing. i took my DAT June 29th and "planned" to do my application while studying for the DAT and submit before I take my DAT, but I just couldn't juggle both I was so nervous about the DAT. Also after my DAT was July 4th weekend and i literally partied for 3 days straight! and did nothing for a few days after. I hope we will be fine! Good luck to you! This site is scaring me....everyone is so early!

My mail date is 8/6 as well but Stony brook and Buffalo just sent me an email that they are just receiving my app from aadsas *crosses fingers*

HOW late are you if that's your question?

No one can tell you exactly. But i will tell you how late are you approximately.

For 2k10 class there were ~11k apps. who applied.
for 2k09 class there were ~11k apps. who applied.

According to ADEA there were ~7400 applicants who opened an account with them in
From june03 to june 30th

Out of these lets say ~70% applied in the same month thats ~5k app.'s submitted.

according to ADEA avg. app. applies about 10 schools.

that means they sent out about ~50,000+ applications...

So realistically excluding all the state schools which Strictly accepts only instate would be like 45 schools. So each one of those schools might have received ~1000+ apps.

then you can go from here onwards on calc. your odds at a particular schools depending on private, instate, residence, etc...
