my AADSAS application was mailed out 8/6. my DAT scores showed up on AADSAS today (8/12)...
i haven't done submitted any of my secondaries yet... secondaries are required to make an application complete before they'll start reviewing right?
if i submit all my secondaries by the end of this weekend, is my application LATE? will i possibly get any pre-december interviews?

I don't think August 8 is LATE, but it definitely isn't early. Without knowing your stats, it's hard to say if you'll get interviews or not. But if you have good or great stats, you still have a shot of landing them pre-December (this also depends on the school...)

i'm guessing the secondary is REQUIRED before a committee will start reviewing your app?
and what's the difference between processing and reviewing? i just got an email from a school saying they need 6 weeks to process before review. didn't aadsas already process?!

Some schools will review your initial application and then, if you meet their minimum criteria, they will send you, or request that you fill out, the secondary. Some of them have you submit the secondary and $ along with the initial application. Be sure you know what each school's process is so you don't drop the ball.

As far as processing vs reviewing, I am not sure. If you tell us what school it was, maybe someone else who went through the process could help you with that one.

From my understanding as a first-time applicant, yes, the secondary/supplemental is generally required for the admissions committee to review your application. One exception that I know of is UF (Florida), they offered interview invites (primarily residents) prior to waiting for supplemental application submission.

Processing: They are compiling your application; putting all of your respective forms, letters, score reports into your own personal file for easy access and revision.

Reviewing: Determining if you should be interviewed or rejected.
