Is NBDE part 2 necessary?

Im plannin to take NBDE part 1 in feb 2010 and I want to know if its absolutely necessary to do part 2 to get into dental school...Has anyone got into school with part 1 alone...😕

Most schools don't require NDBE part II. A few schools say it would increase your chances to get in ( for example U Colorado)
I did not take part II and most people I met on the interview didn't either.
