Wondering if a course called quantitative analysis (Practical approach to data analysis and experimental error. Covers solubility, acid-base and complexation equilibria; the practice of gravimetric and volumetric analysis; an introduction to spectrophotometric and electrochemical methods of analysis) would be helpful for preparing me for the DAT. I'm not familiar with the class and I'm not sure if it truly relates to any section on the DAT, like quantitative analysis.

Thanks.

Nope. My school calls this course analytical chemistry and I think it is too advanced for the DAT. I'm taking it now and it's pretty difficult. I'm one of the few in my class not failing.

My Analytical Chem class helped me on the DAT. Especially if you're shooting for 20+.

Definitely know your physiology, Feralis' notes were all I used for the Bio section.

Other than that search and destroy the reading section, and plug and chug for the QR is probably the best advice I can give. Those strategies made these sections a joke on my test.

I got a 24 AA. Lowest section a 21

it really can't hurt. As far as I know quant analysis is sort of like advanced general chemistry, learning about batteries, salt bridges, titrations, etc, etc. Maybe there's more to it, but if you learn this material, this definitely won't hurt you, but you will probably feel very comfortable for gen chem section.

But I can say that if this will take too much of your time from doing other productive things, don't take it just because it will be helpful for gen chem section of DAT.
There are more efficient ways to prepare for DAT gen chem.

However, if you like challenge, go ahead and take it.
It won't be as easy as gen chem and organic!

Took a 5 credit course like this one in my school since its part of my major (biochem), tough but absolutely helpful to put many topics (a lot of it are on my DAT) in a real life example rather than on paper.

I score a 24 on the gen chem section so I would say it help.
