Is the Berkeley Extension program Accredited?

I've talked to a couple med schools, and they say that they are definitely fine with Berkeley Extension (even though I've read some debate as to its status since some of the courses are at community colleges, and even were taught by community college faculty -- not ucb).

however, they were unsure if berkeley extension had been technically accredited (?), which might be a program for other schools.
