I was told by a lot of people that the DAT is curved. Does anyone know if its true? I hear people saying that they do better on the real DAT than they did on the practice exams. And that makes me think that maybe it is curved. I hope so 🙂
This question should be....do practice tests lowball your predicted scores?
Seems like it.
Also, certain questions seem to have more weight than others. I remember getting a Beer's Law right, but also one seemingly more common question that I got wrong. Probably why I ended up with a 29 on GC.
DAT is not curved, you get the score that you earn, if it would be curved we would not be able to get a score printed right away. Also curved tests are not available through out the year.
It is not really a curve. Your scores are being compared to other people that are taking the same exam. I believe that is how the calculate your percentile.

there is no way that this test is curved or anything like that. no matter what they say it is not standardized... i finished my test 15 min later than the other ppl writing it b/c i decided to take a break and they got their scores b4 me, one at a time, it doesn't matter who is writing the test it matter which questions u get write and what was 'chose to be the percentile and according dat score' with each section. all in all its a game, just prepare well and be confident. don't freak out and no matter what they throw at u, u'll do well
