Is the radiation oncology job market really that bad?

Current medical student trying to decide on a specialty. I initially thought anesthesia but after shadowing, I realized it wasn't for me. Have shadowed a good amount of RadOnc and absolutely love the field. However, the doom and gloom over the job market is giving me pause. Can anyone chime in on this?

Slowly over period of time, it has become relatively easier to match. Also to an extent that spots go unfilled. That itself is speaking part of it, how job market for this speciality will be.

Even if the job market isn’t great, there will always be a need for radiation oncologists. So if you love it, go for it!
