Hello,

I am studying for NAPLEX, have less than a month to study naplex, and am reading the book for the first time. I finished about 25% (~20 chapters so far...).

I study one chapter, do the question, and leave the wrong questions out because once I am done with reviewing the book, I want to review the wrong questions first. I store 55~60, maybe 70-80% on easy chapters, but I am just reading it through, so I don't remember anything/memorize anything after each chapter is done.

My plan is to review at least twice overall, and multiple times for main disease states (HF, HTN, oncology, Hep/HIV, DM, etc) but I am afraid that the way I am studying is inefficient as I don't retain much day by day.

Any suggestions??

I read the book once, was going to do it the second time, but was only about to get through half the book. So, in total I did it 1.5 times before the NAPLEX 🙂 I also scored about 50% to 80%, averaging about 65% on the questions...and I didn't have enough time to go through the questions a second time...nor look at the wrong ones again either. I have kids so finding time to study is hard, but I have also been a practicing pharmacist for the last 10 years. I did manage to pass with room to spare. I had to retake the NAPLEX because I took it in 2001 and CA would only accept if after 2004. The RXPrep book is more than adequate with all the information you need for the NAPLEX. Hope this helps.
