Is there a point of submitting my primary before transcripts are received?

Hi, I sent my transcripts in the mail May 21st and AAMC has still not told me that they have received them. I was hoping the process would be faster but now I feat that my transcript might not be received by June 4th. I called my university and they said they sent in a printed copy along with the request form on the 24th (Friday) and I have still not heard anything from AAMC. How long do you guys think it will take for me to get that email that says my transcripts are verified from AAMC. All my friends got it a week ago and they sent their transcripts in like 2-3 days before I did. If my transcript isn't verified is there even a point of submitting AMCAS (primary) because they need the transcripts to start the verification and AMCAS goes directly to them for upload. Anyone have any ideas? I wanted to be one of those people who submitted June 4th and had everything verified by like June 10-15th.



Benefit of waiting the extra days: Couple more days to work on my already somewhat edited and polished PS and activities section.

No benefit that I can think of, but I'm sure your transcript will be in on monday or tuesday.

Hmmm, ok. Just in case you didnt know, you are supposed to just get an email alerting you when you're transcript is received so you don't have to keep checking the AMCAS.

The amcas website says "currently marking as received those transcripts received on May 24"

So, if it was sent on the 24th, then it probably takes a week to get there, and a couple days to mark it as received right?

I called AAMC a couple of days ago. The lady said 3-5 days in the mail and 5-10 days to mark...
