Is there any hope for applicants that didn't start on their extracurriculars until senior year?

Should this applicant give up completely even though they will take multiple gap years to get ECs and boost their MCAT? Let's also say they are ORM (asian).
Science GPA is in 3.2 range and Cumulative GPA is in 3.5 range

The sGPA is lethal for MD and meh for DO. Hence, the applicant will need a few years anyway to build a competitive app.

If this student spent all their time focusing on academics and nothing else, that doesn't say much about said applicant.

Do you think ADCOMS can look past the student not doing anything for 3+ years in college if the student shows dedication over the next few years?
Or should the student give up entirely because most ADCOMS won't look past this and will not give this person a chance?

Yes. Not everyone comes to Medicine at once.

No extracurricular activities and a sGPA of 3.2 does not give one confidence that the student will be successful in medical school. Improvements in GPA while concurrently engaged in service, research and clinical activities would be needed. Can this applicant juggle that many balls in the air and earn a 3.65 or better?

Thank you for your answer!
I plan on completing a post-bacc program (hopefully boosting my GPA) and getting my meaningful experiences at the same time. I hope all goes well.

There is so much a GPA can increase though. I calculated it and even with the program, the most my science GPA can get to is the 3.4-3.5 range.
