I've just been using grammarly. It's free (or an optional paid one), and it'll correct your grammar/spelling/punctuation.

Wait I don’t get it - why do you need it? Like, what do you use it for ? And what are those ? I’ve never used it in my life .

I think what I did in my situation, was I made an appointment with the writing center on campus. They're usually very good. I had them vet everything and I thanked them for their time.

I made the changes that I thought were good that they wanted to make and I kept in some things that were kind of odd but that's okay. Then I made another appointment with a different person. I let them check themselves and my paper at the same time. I made those changes.

Then I think I went for a third time and I made those changes. All the while, there were people blasting my stuff, things I changed, things I hadn't changed, and most importantly there were specialists that were blasting the other specialist for doing X y and z. of course, they didn't know that they were checking their co-workers' work.

Write it. Walk away. Look at it fresh. Edit it. Use grammarly to catch any basic, major mistakes. Walk away. Read it out loud. Edit again.
