you probably have as much hope getting into an internal med program as you have of somebody answering any of your last 3 questions that ask the exact same question

I have no idea, 211 probably isn't so bad. It does put you with the other half of students who score below average. I have no idea what an IMG needs to get in...

1 in 13, you're welcome.

I think you are posting in the wrong forum. Most students here are US students and don't have very precise ideas of the numbers needed for FMG's. You should try posting this in the general residency or IM forum; I am sure you can find more expertise in there. Perhaps, the moderator will allow you to post one additional thread in the appropriate area. 😉

On a side note, I am sure you can get an IM spot SOMEWHERE. It really depends on what you're looking at. Albeit getting into a top 10-20 program might be challenging, I am almost certain that there are FMG friendly programs out there that you can shoot for. Good luck!

Hi. Dont´t be discuraged by those people. I am an FMG too. I think you will be just fine, it´s the whole packet that decides about how competitive you are. I am actually, studying for Step 1 right now, and i wish it would be over already...., but quite honestly, if I get even an 211 I´ll be so happy. Did you take the other two parts yet?

One word for all the friendly US students here. You should consider that without us FMG there would be no sufficient Health Care System in the US, so don´t look at us like we taking anything away from you, we don´t!

This thread is done. I'm not entertaining any arguments about the appropriateness of ANY of these posts.

Cynicalutopian, as suggested, you might try and post this in the IM forum under graduate medical education and see if there is someone there who can answer this question. I only moderate this forum; I do not touch posts in other forums.
