Obviously this is an upward trend but I've always thought of upwards trends as significant increases in GPA. so, do you think med schools will look at this as a positive improvement, or is the increase not significant enough to be noticable?

F: 3.56
S: 3.64
J: 3.71

from F to J is only an improvement of .15 and will probably go unnoticed.

I doubt it will be looked at much differently than having a 3.66 across 3 years. If you're able to round out your seinor year with a 4.0, though, I think it could then be considered an upward trend.

No. An upward trend would be more for those who had a 2.6 and brought it up to 3.5+ their last year or so. When you started at a 3.5+ it isn't going to make a bloody difference if you improve upon on already good gpa.

k thanks everyone! thats what i thought...just curious about how med school view these kind of things!

maintaining an upward trend isnt't all that important once you have a 3.5 to begin with. your GPA is better than a 2.5, 3.0. 3.5, in my opinion. You showed consistency and hard work throughout all three years. you made deans list every year, be proud. if you want, you can get 3.8 in your final year, just to show them that you worked even harder in your final year when most people would just take it easy.
